Community

	To belong is a powerful antidote to many of our aches and pains. To break out of our shell, to share with people in similar situations, builds a rich synergy between human beings; to participate is to harness hope.
		Soutenir les personnes aidantes (Supporting Caregivers) DVD-video to present the reality of caregivers in minority francophone communities in Canada, for the Alliance des femmes de la francophonie canadienne, 2009. Content selected from twenty-six interviews with caregivers in Labrador City, Prince Edward Island, Winnipeg, Whitehorse, and rural Saskatchewan. Video filming, content selection, graphic design, video editing and production of a 20-minute “portrait” video and five brief presentations of initiatives supporting caregivers in the regions; graphic design of the visual identity of the project. 		The Magnificent 16 Rebel Eagle Productions, 2005 Interactive DVD-ROM on personality types, according to Carl Jung's theory adapted by Myers and Briggs, with an animated presentation of each of the 16 types and interactive menus leading to video interview excerpts and text presentations. Pentafolio designed and developed the user interface, participated in scenario development, created the animations, and built navigational menus and interactivity. View the Web site
		Families From Within A compilation of anecdotes about birth and family life, shared by women, men and children from across Canada and around the world. This project was supported by Pentafolio. Illustrations by Jean-Emmanuel Allard, based on photographs submitted by participating families. Project coordination by Colette Coughlin. Graphic design by Stephanie Pelot. 	View a linear demo Web site	Mauve “By and for teens”, Mauve is an interactive CD-ROM for crisis prevention. Produced in French and English, the CD-ROM presents powerful testimonials using video clips, animations, sound effects, music, texts, photos, and illustrations. Six hours of interactive content covering the search for identity, stress, relationships, health, school, depression, and work. The kit for health care professionals includes the CD-ROM, a 126-page Teen Support Guidebook, and a navigational map. Pentafolio initiated and implemented the project, including the training and coordination of youth film crews, interview transcription, content selection (with youth), script development, interface design, video editing, animations, CD-ROM integration, and graphic design of the accompanying guide and kit packaging. Published in 1998 by Pentafolio in partnership with Médiaspaul, this project won awards in Education and Health. Funded in part by Health Canada.

		Rockland At Your Service Bilingual, 64-page booklet published in 1992 by the Rockland Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Rockland. Pentafolio assumed project management, including sale of advertising space, writing, translation, graphic design, and the coordination of printing and distribution.
